REMINDER – Meeting on Underage Drinking
Do you have concerns around the problems associated with underage
drinking?
Are you aware of young people who are already engaging in
dangerous drinking behaviour?
Are you concerned about the rise in anti-social behaviour in
Lurgan? Are you concerned about changes to liquor licensing
arrangements?
If so, then Lurgan Catalyst Parent invites you to a public meeting
on 30th March at 8.00pm in Lurgan Town Hall addressing these and
many other questions and concerns around underage drinking in
Lurgan.
Parents and the community at large will have the opportunity to
address their questions and concerns around underage drinking to a
panel of community representatives and experts, which will include
Inspector Ken Annett, PSNI, George McCauge and Leo Foy, Southern
Drug and Alcohol Coordination Team, Stephen Moutray MLA, Deloris
Kelly, MLA, Kevin O’Connor, Chairman of the Armagh Vintners and
Martin Larkham, Detached Youth Worker, YMCA.

Catalyst Parent, commented:
“ We invite the Lurgan community to come and have their voice
heard on this issue, to hear about what the community is already
doing to address underage drinking, and to discuss ways forward in
creating a community in which it is easier for children and
underage young people to be alcohol, drug and sex free.”
