Sign Up to the Lurgan Catalyst Vision!
PAKT Lurgan is the latest organisation to sign up to the Catalyst
vision of bringing about community change so that it is easier for
children and underage young people to be alcohol, drug and sex
free.
PAKT has been running programmes of activities for children, young
people and parents in Lurgan since 1994 and has a membership today
of over 100 children and young people. PAKT aims to provide
parents and children with information relevant to meet their
needs, to help them reach their full potential and to equip them
in becoming participants in all aspects of community life.
Margaret Houston, PAKT Family Support Worker, commented:
In PAKT we are committed to enhancing the social, personal and
physical development of all those involved in our cross-community
programmes. We strongly support the Catalyst Vision, which seeks
to address risk-taking behaviours among our children and underage
young people through parental support and community partnership,
while at the same time creating a better, safer and more family
friendly environment in Lurgan.
PAKT is one of many individuals and organisations in the Lurgan
community already signed up to the Catalyst vision.

Catalyst Parent, commented:
In order to bring about community change and create a
environment in which it is easier for our children and underage
young people to be alcohol, drug and sex free, we need to first
and foremost have the support and commitment from all in the
community. Over the next weeks and months we will be encouraging
individuals and groups from across the Lurgan community to sign up
to the vision, so watch this space!
