PRESS RELEASE – 18.06.07
Launch of Lurgan Catalyst Parent Newsletter
Mrs Jill Hunter, Principal of Harrison Nursery School, welcomed
the opportunity to contribute to the latest issue of the Lurgan
Catalyst Parent Newsletter.
In it she shares her thoughts on the importance of community and
that what children see in a community has a very strong
influence on their learning. She believes through working
together ‘we need to help our young people make their own
decisions, to create their own healthy lifestyles, where they
can select to say ‘no’ to the pressure of alcohol, drugs and
sex’.
Harrison Nursery have joined many other community groups in Lurgan
in signing up to the Lurgan Catalyst Parent vision to ‘bring
about community change so that it’s easier for children and
underage young people to be alcohol, drug and sex free’.
If you too support this vision and would like more information on
the work of Lurgan Catalyst Parent, or to receive a copy of the
recent Newsletter, contact Michele on 3882 0555 or visit
