Love for Life is committed to delivering Relationships and Sexuality
Education (RSE) programmes to young people in Post Primary schools across
Northern Ireland, based on a model of Personal Development and working
within the ethos and values of the school.
“It is
an absolutely invaluable part of our schools RSE programme.”
(PSHE Co-ordinator)
Within the Revised Curriculum and the Personal Development strand
of Learning for Life and Work, Love for Life programmes major on the
key themes of Self-concept, Feelings and Emotions, Safety and Risk
Management, Relationships and Sexuality and Influences and Decision
Making.
Working in partnership with over 50% of Post Primary schools across
Northern Ireland, Love for Life offers three age-appropriate
programmes at Post Primary level: Who’s Choosing (Year 9), Icebergs
and Babies (Year 11) and Dating and Mating (Year 12).
Our Relationships and Sexuality Education programmes are challenging
and engaging, providing a media rich, interactive learning experience,
that allows opportunity for on-going personal reflection for pupils on
their attitudes and choices. For further information, please download
our
Love for Life Post Primary Programme leaflet.
Each programme is supported by lesson materials for the teachers
and website information, including the facility for pupils to ask
questions online.
“We had a General Inspection last week and the
Inspectorate commented very positively in the resources provided by
Love for Life. They were very impressed with content of lessons.”
(St. Josephs Grammar, Donaghmore)
